“We live in a Northern country, so our choice of food products and eating habits are very similar to the countries of the Scandinavian Peninsula. We have opted to promote one of the trendiest cuisines in the world giving it a new original gastronomic sparkle,” says Andrew Dellos, the owner of Maison Dellos

At the end of May 2014, Maison Dellos opened Orange 3, a New Nordic Cuisine restaurant. The “Orange Tree” grew in the heart of Moscow, on Tverskoy Boulevard. The number ‘3’ in the name is not just an avant-guard pun: it brings to mind the three pillars of an ideal restaurant project: Haute cuisine, delicious wines and unique atmosphere. The choice of New Nordic Cuisine might seem a bold decision to some, but not to Andrew Dellos, who enjoys creating new gastronomic ideas rather than following the existing ones. The Nordic Cuisine is the most promising trend for the seasons to come. This culinary movement is a harmonious combination of the latest gastronomic concepts: it is fresh, vivid, stylish, moderate and organic. The Scandinavian tradition of cooking is mingled here with innovative technology and an original creative approach. What singles out Andrew Dellos’ restaurant, however, is not just the fresh, stylish and creative approach to cooking – it is also the carefully chosen details of interior design of the new gourmet dwelling. Maison Dellos understands very well that a modern sophisticated megalopolis resident, being an avid traveler, сonnoisseur and gourmet, can be drawn by the best and the best only. A designer loft in an American style with eclectic interior is something any cosmopolitan can only dream of and would highly appreciate. This concept was developed by Andrew Dellos, who drew inspiration from his trips around the globe and combined elements of the French, Japanese and American cultures in the restaurant’s interior. Real orange trees are an integral part of the minimalistic yet contrasting design that gives preference to straight lines and organic materials. The key element here is contrast. The children’s “Hot or Cold” game is brought here to its extreme. Eclectic design, astringent Sauvignon blanc, icy Riesling, sharp orange light, the comfort of a home, hot and cold dishes, cozy and inviting atmosphere… A drakkar of the dream for the modern Vikings to carefully plan their new peaceful invasions.
